DigStep is operated by itella.tech ("we"). This policy explains what data the app handles. Questions: ai@itella.tech.
Your gem collection, digging progress, and settings are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us.
With your permission, the app reads your step count from Apple Health (read-only) to calculate digging progress. Step data is processed on your device and is never sent to our servers, shared, or sold. We follow Apple's HealthKit requirements and do not use health data for advertising.
If you use the optional "bury a thought" Gold Stone, the text you type is sent to our server and to third-party AI providers (Anthropic and Google) to interpret it and generate an image. We store the prompt text, the generated image, and a randomly generated device identifier (used only to limit request volume) on our infrastructure (Cloudflare) for up to 90 days, after which they are deleted. This data is not linked to your name, email, or any account. Please do not enter personal or sensitive information into prompts.
Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and receipts. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier and transaction information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
DigStep is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
